The location
workers.Toong IPH aims to become a work environment that is user-friendly, while manifesting unique contemporary aesthetics never witnessed before in any projects of the same type in Vietnam, or the region. After meticulous research of the traditional craft villages surrounding Hanoi, we decided to pick the sedge mats (chiếu cói) as the main material for interior design. Toong IPH is inspired by the journey of Vietnamese sedge mats making, from planting, processing, to weaving, and drying. This metaphorical process is infused with architectural language and fine art’s shaping techniques, forming an extraordinary workplace adorned by signature local cultural elements. The coworking space provides private studios that can host companies of 2 to 50 members. Art exhibitions, showcases, cultural pop-up events and other knowledge-exchanging affairs are regularly introduced into the space, in the hope of transforming every work day to become more vivid, and inspired.
