The building is conceived in the manner of the grand eclectic neo-classical style interpreted in contemporary idiom using modern cladding materials such as glass, aluminum and granite. This modern interpretation of eclectic neo-classical architecture with its predominant colonnaded façade harmonizes with the adjacent five-storey Wisma RKT as well as with the surrounding area which has a strong heritage character that City Hall strive to retain.
