Originally starting life as an Officer’s Mess on RAF Harwell, the centre has always been at the heart of the innovative development of the Harwell Campus. Following the ground-breaking advancement of nuclear energy in the late ‘40s and ‘50s, the centre became home to many apprentices from all over the world, and continues to be to this day. Harwell Campus is a science and innovation district the size of a small town, helping to fire the next generation of visionaries across a great breadth of sectors, including science, space, life science, energy, advanced materials and health-tech. Millions of people globally have already benefited from the innovation and inventions developed here – and you could be part that success.
